Privacy Policy & Local Data Handling
Labour Australia is engineered to provide independent public guidance without intrusive tracking, surveillance cookies, or unauthorized commercial data collection.
1. Launch Privacy Posture: Zero Trackers & Ad-Free
In accordance with strict launch standards:
- No Third-Party Analytics Trackers: Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, and behavioral tracker beacons are completely disabled at launch.
- No Third-Party Advertising: No programmatic advertising scripts or commercial ad networks are loaded.
- No User Account System: We do not require visitors to register, log in, or provide personal identity details to access calculators or directories.
- No Document Uploads: None of our tools request, accept, or process private identification documents, passports, or tax statements.
2. Local-First Tool Data & Browser Storage
Our interactive transition tools (such as the Arrival Checklist, Moving Budget, and Job Offer Comparison) process calculations entirely inside your local web browser:
Local Storage (localStorage): When you explicitly select "Save to Device" on the Arrival Checklist, your checklist state is written exclusively to your personal device's local browser memory.
Zero Server Transmission: Financial numbers entered into our calculators are never sent across the network to our servers or stored in remote databases.
No Query String Leakage: We never serialize or encode personal financial inputs or residency assumptions into shareable URL parameters.
3. Cross-Border Privacy Framework (EU GDPR & Australian Privacy Act)
As an informational publication operated from Finland (EU), processing of personal data is subject to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). Because Labour Australia operates without visitor accounts, user profiles, marketing tracking pixels, or marketing cookies, our processing is strictly limited to transient technical transmission data necessary for serving web assets.
When requesting pages, the hosting network (Cloudflare edge infrastructure) processes standard internet transmission metadata (such as IP addresses and request timestamps) strictly for cyber-security defense, DDoS mitigation, and content delivery. We do not correlate or combine server access logs with individual identities.
We observe the core principles of data minimization established by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). We do not collect Australian Tax File Numbers, passport scans, or banking login credentials.
4. Editorial Accountability & Corrections Route
Labour Australia is committed to factual precision. If you identify any statutory rate, award condition, or migration citation requiring editorial correction, please refer to our Contact & Inquiries page.
